For as long as I can remember I have deeply disliked the idea of someone else telling me what I should or should not be doing.
I guess this is probably why I never joined the military although I did make the trip to the recruiting office to start the process. Thank God the man scared me out of my mind and I said NO.
I am a dreamer and I’ve always had this knowing that whatever my heart leads me to is exactly what I was supposed to be doing.
I have had a plaque of the above quote by Henry David Thoreau for almost 10 years now and I read it every day.
I deeply believe that all of us should get to live the life that we have imagined.
Why else would we have the beautiful creative faculty of an imagination?
I got caught up in the way of the world, like most of us do and I went with the path I was “supposed” to take in order to be a responsible adult.
However that didn’t last long.
All I’ve ever wanted in my life was to be able to follow my soul because before I could really comprehend this I always knew that my soul knew the way.
I just didn’t know how to communicate this back then and even now I think most people would look at me and think that sounds so woo-woo and out there.
I just know that my life gets to be about having choices and that I should get to be the one who makes the decision on what that choice will be.
I guess at the end of the day you can say that I am a rebel who solely desires her FREEDOM to do whatever the hell she wants.
This core value of mine is what wakes me up every single day.
The dream of ultimate freedom that I hold in my heart is what helps fuel me to keep showing up and doing all that I can to bring this reality not only to myself but to my daughter too.
When you get into business for yourself the one thing pepopel always teach is understanding your ‘why’ and I get it because if you don’t have a deep and compelling why it makes it a lot easier to just quit when things get hard.
Have you thought about what your ‘why’ is?
My why is centered on freedom, independence, choice, feeling empowered and empowering others.
My deepest desire is that my why and the work that I do will transcend me and create a life for my daughter that allows her to have choice and freedom that is already there.
I desire to leave a legacy so that when my physical being is no longer here my daughter and my grandchildren will still be able to reap the benefits of what Mommy and Grandma created while she was here on this earth.
My why involves you too!
There are so many people in this world who desire to have a life where they can live it based on their rules, terms and conditions but many feel trapped because they aren’t aware of any other way that life can be.
I know that I am here to wake up a mass of people who are internally suffering not knowing how things can be any different.
To wake up people to their fullest potential and then to be able to thrive from that potential.
I am here to help people become unleashed in their soul and in their mind.
I know my journey in doing this is still very young but I know it like I am breathing right now that this is the calling that God has placed on my life.
You have a why too and I want you to know that no matter how crazy or far out your why seems it was given to you because your purpose here is to live from that why and do what you are here to do to be able to live in the physical manifestation of that why.
If you haven’t’ gotten clear on your why I encourage you to do that today. I encourage you to get still for a moment and just really search within yourself what it is that gets you up every single morning.
Even if you think you don’t have one, you do. It’s just that you need to be reminded.
You can live the life that you’ve imagined in your mind. It’s only impossible if you believe it’s impossible.
