There is a direct correlation between your mindset and your business.
When I first launched my business I had no idea how much my mindset would play into the success of my business.
I had no idea how much my level of self-worth would be intertwined into how I priced my services.
I knew that I was going to coach around mindset for sure but I hadn’t tied it together with business.
I naively thought that creating success in my business would be no different than the success I created in the corporate world.
It’s interesting because if you want to know what your limiting beliefs are all you need to do is launch your business and they will all come to the service.
One of my earliest investments into my business was hiring a mindset coach.
It was through my work with her that I realized how I was holding myself back from greater by the way I was thinking and by what I was believing.
Soon after working with her I attracted my first three clients and it became clear that when I elevate my mind my business will also elevate as a result.
It became clear that investing in myself was also investing in my business.
The thing that trips most new entrepreneurs up is that they don’t want to invest in themselves or they feel that they can’t because their business isn’t making the kind of revenue they desire.
I am here to tell you that you can’t afford not to because when you choose to believe that you don’t have enough you will also operate in your business with this mindset of lack which only draws to you more lack.
Outside of investing in your business you’re going to also need to get really protective around what you are feeding your mind.
Your subconscious is always at work paying attention to what you are saying and to what others are saying and from there forming beliefs that inform your behaviors.
Your focus has to be on quality content that focuses on growth instead of lack. No more trash TV or trash social media.
You’ve got to decide that if it isn’t growing your mind then it’s not something you need to pay attention to.
I have a rule that I adopted where I look at my actions and behavior as either that of quality or quantity (meaning consumption).
My goal is to always be thinking, doing and being the kind of woman who only entertains quality in her life.
If I feel like I am spending my time consuming things that don’t make me feel good or provide me with inspiration then I am in a quantity state of mind.
The average person is all about quantity, desiring to consume without any real focus on ensuring that the thing they are consuming is actually bettering them as a person.
I can look at person’s news feed on Facebook and tell you where their mindset is by looking at what they post on a daily basis.
I challenge you to go to your newsfeed right now and look at all the things you posted over the course of the past two weeks.
Do you find that it’s uplifting, educational, inspiring, empowering or is it stuff of little to no substance?
To elevate your business you must become your highest priority.
What I mean by that is you’ve got to begin investing your time, energy, efforts and money into being the best version of yourself that you can be.
You’ve got to focus on cultivating mindset of success that will yield you the results you say that you want.
It’s not going to happen for you. It is going to require you to be intentional, deliberate and clear about how you want to increase the quality of your life and business.
Always remember that your business will grow at the rate and level in which you grow.
You don’t have to go out and invest thousands of dollars to increase your mindset. You can invest in books, audio books, YouTube videos, free content from business people you follow, etc.
At the end of the day the success or failure of your business all leads back to you. It leads back to what you have chosen to focus on. It leads back to how mentally strong your mindset is.
The moment you decide that you want to elevate your business is the moment you also decide to elevate yourself.
You have so many tools and resources before you in this time we are in that you can go just about anywhere and find what you need.
You will need to focus on your mindset daily.
I always recommend and insist that my clients develop a daily mindset routine because it plays such a huge role in the success of your business and life.
My daily mindset routine consists of the following:
1. I work my beliefs by writing them in my journal each day.
3. Visualization of my goals and intentions
6. Reading books on business or personal success
I encourage you to create your own routine or adopt what I have created above.
I know that I would not be where I am today if I didn’t adopt this ritual early in my business. It’s been the catalyst for all the results that I’ve achieved and have yet to achieve.
What action are you going to take moving forward? Leave me a note in the comments and let me know.
I love you,
